Sometimes I just can’t let something go to waste—like oranges sitting on top of my fridge. I just hear them calling in the middle of the night, “Lizzy! Lizzy! Use my wonderful, bright zest! Share me with the world! Don’t let me mold up here next to the cereal boxes…”

preheat oven…TO THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DEGREES?!?!
these are adorable and look delicious
Sorry, fixed that
I really like how these sound. Did you use malted milk powder or did you have it in liquid form?
I used the powder
I only have regular (black) chocolate chips, is that OK? Do they taste different?
They will taste different, but will still be good.
Yum, those cookies remind me of creamsicle bars. I have a sweet treat linky party going on at my blog till Monday night and I'd love it if you'd come by and link your cookies up. http://sweet-as-sugar-cookies.blogspot.com/2012/01/sweets-for-saturday-51.html
My cookies baked up puffy. I followed your recipie except the malted milk (didn't use it). Any ideas as to why? I like how your cookies are flat. Great recipie either way, thanks!
Yeah, the malted milk powder makes them flat. It adds a lot of extra moisture somehow. I have added malted milk to tons of cookies, and every time they are flat haha. Weird…
Made these with my son today in perpetration for a play date. They were amazing, going in my favourite cookie recipe collection for sure! I’m in England and couldn’t find malted milk so we left it out and they were nice and ‘puffy’ but we like them that way. Got the other moms all rushing home to have a look at your blog! xx
