Mustache Cupcakes

Servings 24 Cupcakes

Ingredients

Chocolate Cake:

  • 1 box Devil's Food Cake Mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 3/4 cup milk or buttermilk
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4-5 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line pans with cupcake liners.
  2. 2. Sift cake mix into a small bowl and set aside (I like to use Pillsbury).
  3. 3. Combine eggs, oil, milk, sour cream, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. 4. Add cake mix and stir well.
  5. 5. Fill cupcake liners 3/4 full and bake for 15-20 minutes or until an inserted knife comes out clean.
  6. 5. Frosting: Beat butter and cream cheese for 2 minutes. Add vanilla extract and slowly add powdered sugar until you reach your desired consistency. Add milk to thin out if needed.
  7. 6. Pipe frosting onto cooled cupcakes and top with a mustache!
