Cranberry BBQ Sauce

If you hate (or love) traditional cranberry sauce, you'll be OBSESSED with this. Cranberry BBQ Sauce is the perfect thing for all your leftover turkey sandwiches after Thanksgiving! It's also magical on pork loin too! If you hate (or love) traditional cranberry sauce, you'll be OBSESSED with this. Ingredients

  • 6 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 1 yellow onion diced
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • cup apple cider vinegar
  • cup ketchup
  • 2 Tablespoons dijon mustard optional
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 Tablespoons ginger minced
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, add cranberries, water, yellow onion, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, ketchup, mustard, garlic, and ginger. Season with salt and pepper.

  2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Cook for 15 minutes or until the cranberries have burst and the sauce begins to thicken.
  3. You can keep your Cranberry BBQ Sauce as is with pieces of cranberry in it OR pour the sauce into a blender and puree until smooth.
  4. Serve with turkey, pork loin or chicken!
