Easy Oreo Cake and Signed Cookbook Giveaway


Chocolate Cake:

  • 1 Box Devil's Food Cake Mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 C. oil
  • 3/4 C. buttermilk or milk
  • 1/2 C. sour cream or plain yogurt
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract

Chocolate Pudding:

  • 1 large or 2 small pkg chocolate pudding prepared as directed (You can do instant or cook)

Cool Whip or whipped cream

Crushed Oreos


  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9X13 inch pan.
  2. 2. In a large bowl, sift in cake mix to remove any lumps.
  3. 3. Add eggs, oil, buttermilk, sour cream and vanilla extract and stir until smooth.
  4. 4. Pour into pan, spread out evenly and bake for 25-30 minutes or until an inserted knife comes out clean.
  5. 5. Let cool.
  6. 6. Prepare pudding according to directions. Two small boxes will give you more pudding, but just do what is easiest for you! While the pudding is still warm or before it "sets" pour over cake. (You can "poke" your cake with the end of a wooden spoon to let the pudding soak into the cake or you can just let it layer on top!)
  7. 7. Put cake with pudding on it in the refrigerator for 10 minutes or until the pudding is firm.
  8. 8. Spread Cool Whip or whipped cream over cake and top with crushed Oreos! Refrigerate Until ready to serve!
