I drizzled a little ganache on top of my cupcakes but you can use melted chocolate or none at all!  (Ganache, melt 1/2 C. chocolate chips and 2 Tbsp. whipping creme together) I added it to give them a little more glamour and to bring out the Halloween colors of the candies!

I made some cupcakes similar to these last year with a regular peanut butter frosting and they were delicious, so I knew I wanted to make a little more Halloweeny version this time around.

Hi – love the looks and sound of this recipe. However, I have a question about the amount of powdered sugar required for the frosting. The ingredient list indicates 3/4 cup, but the frosting directions say to beat in 2 cups. Wonder if you could clarify the amount – thanks!

Any tricks to getting the candies to stay evenly dispursed while baking? These are delicious! But all the candies settled at the bottom of the cupcakes, so messy unless eaten with a fork and plate.
