His answer: “We sit at home watching ESPN and talk about how awesome we are.”

Is there any way I can do your cupcakes Gluten-Free? I’m GF and your cupcakes look so delicious!

    • 1.1

YES!!! This is why I do cake mixes, because gluten free cake mixes work with the recipes too! If you can’t find a red velvet GF mix, use a white mix, add a little cocoa and a lot of red dye!

This looks soooo yummy! I already put all of the ingredients on my shopping list! My family is GF too and my mom has been craving red velvet! I’m so excited to make this for her! I have a question…. The Super Bowl you know is coming up and my family wants me to make cupcakes, what cupcakes do you think would knock their socks off? 🙂

Well you can always do a fun football cupcake like a hostess and piped like football threads, google it… Or you do my Butterfinger Cupcakes, those are AWESOME! Or my recent chocolate cake batter cupcakes!

Looks wonderful!! Am I correct in assuming I need to buy two boxes of red velvet cake mix or am I taking a half cup from one box, to go towards the frosting?

Hi Lizzy! Your cupcakes are really gorgeous and so easy to make. I’m just wondering, if I wont use red velvet cake mix for my frosting, what will I use as substitute? Thank you 🙂

    • 10.1

It was be an exact substitution because then you have to decide if you want to make a RV cake batter frosting (which is what is is using the mix) or if you just want a RV frosting. The latter is easier, so add just a little bit of cocoa powder and lots of red dye!

Hi! I am just wondering if this recipe is adapted to the new cake mix sizes. I know they used to be 18 ounces, but recently just were changed to 15 ounces. Thank you! 🙂

What tip do you use to get the icing to look like your picture.

Hey! Your cupcakes are so awesome! 🙂 I’m just wondering, coz we don’t have red velvet cake mixes where I live, so I usually make them from scratch, what can I use to substitute the RV Cake mix in the frosting? Thanks! 🙂
