Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies

The Story:

First of all, I know how insane these may seem.  But when all I bake is dainty cupcakes, sometimes the men in my life want something that seems a little more manly.
What is more manly than bacon?  I love bacon as well, so it worked out okay.
I just went straight to google and this is what I found.  It got rave reviews, so I knew I couldn’t go too wrong with it.
It’s a nice treat to surprise your man with in the morning.

(I halved the recipe)
Ingredients:
1 1/8 cup flour
¾ teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt (or kosher salt)
½ cup butter, softened
1/4 cup plus 1 TB sugar
1/4 cup plus 1 TB brown sugar, packed
½ teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
6 pieces cookies bacon, chopped
Directions:
1.     Preheat oven to 375 degrees, cook bacon, and cover cookie sheets with parchment paper.
2.    Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt.
3.    In a separate bowl, beat butter until light and fluffy.
4.    Add sugar and brown sugar to butter and beat again for 4 minutes.
5.    Add the egg and vanilla and beat again.
6.   Mix in dry ingredients only until incorporated.
7.    Fold in chocolate chips and bacon.
8.   Place tablespoon sized dough balls on cookie sheets and bake for 10-13 minutes, or until the edges are almost golden.
9.   Let cool on sheet for 2 minutes and then place onto a cooling rack.
