The Story:
Cupcakes have sort of been taking over my life. And when I say my life I mean half of the house. I needed to make some cookies to keep my sanity. These cookies are soft, east and fabulous.

Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 3.4 oz box instant pudding, vanilla or white chocolate flavored
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line cookie sheets with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, sift flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt together. Set aside.

3. Using a stand mixer, beat butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar and pudding mix for 2-3 minutes. Scrape down bowl as needed.

4. On slow, add eggs one at a time. Scrape down bowl in between eggs.

5. Add vanilla extract.

6. Slowly add flour mixture and mix until combined.

7. Add chocolate chips and walnuts and mix.

8. Place dough balls the size of golf balls on cookie sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges start to turn golden brown.
Nothing better than warm chocolate chip cookies from the oven. Do you recommend chill the batter before baking? I usually don’t do it because I don’t have time and patience. Also how do you chop nuts? I don’t have food processor.
You don’t have to chill this dough. You can put your Walnuts in a bag and roll over them with a rolling pin.
Is summer cookie season and I just didn’t know? All the blogs have cookies right now! Not that I’m complaining, cookies (and cupcakes too I suppose) are perfect little desserts because they are so portable–and portion-sized!

i’ve made this recipe twice so far, with chocolate pudding mix and it’s awesomeee! i recommend trying it, you’ll fall in love!… im going to try another batch sometime using vanilla pudding mix but the chocolate was def a winnder with my kids 🙂

Does the cookie dry out after it cool or after leave it in room temperate for a few hours? My recipe is great when the cookie comes out from the oven but later it dry out.
I was surprised to see falske ure that I retained some muscle memory from using these tools eight or so months ago. The screwdrivers which you operate by pressing down on the top with your index finger and spinning it with your thumb and middle finger was hard for me last time a new way of moving. This time my fingers were much more interested in taking directions from my brain.
