The Story:
Last year on father’s day I posted a priceless photo of my father and I at the Girl Scouts Daddy Daughter Dance. This year…. I was a little stumped. The running problem in my family is that none of us can ever get him a gift. If he ever needs anything, he buys it for himself. So when Christmas, birthdays, or Father’s Day rolls around… we got nothin’.
So what can I do for my father this year? I can make him laugh. Because surely he will read this post on Father’s Day from his office, scroll down to the photo below, take off his glasses, squint as he leans in to the screen, scoff with a little chuckle and say under his breath “Oh geeze…”
Top Right to Left: Grandma Hansen, my father, my mother (what was she doing with her hair?), Grandpa Hansen Bottom: my brother Andrew, Dak the dog, my brother Paul, and me at the age of about 5
I don’t think anyone in my family has ever seen this photo, I got it from an Aunt who took it at a family reunion in 1995. A long lost gem if you ask me.

You could pass as you mom if you cut your hair that short. Hope you had a good day!
