The Story:
Your Cup of Cake is officially 2 years old!
My first post was for my Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies that made me famous at Lakeridge High School in Oregon. I’ve been baking now for about 7 years, but my site has been a recent addition and a whole new adventure!
Soon I will have a cookbook in stores… which I still can’t really believe, eek! And I will be graduating from college. What should I do next? My mother tells me to get a real job that has health insurance, and she’s probably right.
Life is wonderful and I am so grateful for Leigh Anne at Your Homebased Mom for getting me started here in the blogging world, for Pinterest that helped my blog explode with viewers (if I knew where the founder lived I would send you a TON of cupcakes), for Blogher Publishing and their support, and to all of my fabulous readers and bakers!
Just how thankful am I? Oh, just wait for my epic giveaway…stay tuned.
What am I going to do to celebrate the day? A day full of classes and then home to eat a big bowl of ice cream. Mmmm….
Congratulations on working so hard and getting close to finishing college! What a huge accomplishment!
PS I agree with your mom, but please don’t stop baking;)
So proud to be your blog mama!! You have done amazing things in the last two years and I am so proud of you. I will always be able to say “I knew you when…” I know whatever you do and where ever life takes you after college that you will thrive and accomplish amazing things. I look forward to getting an autographed copy of that cookbook in my hands!!! Leigh Anne
Happy Birthday Your Cup of Cake… Thanks for all the wonderful posts here, on FB and Pintrest!!!!

Mom’s right! That insurance is very important! Not to mention the 401K! Happy Birthday!
CONGRATULATIONS Lizzy, on your 2nd anniversary ! YOUR CUP OF CAKE is #1 in my book !
Congrats! I love reading your blog and trying your recipes!! Do you have a recipe for the cupcake on this blog post? The white cuppie with white frosting and a strawberry on top?
Thanks, Pam
It’s just a vanilla cake with cream cheese frosting topped with a strawberry, nothing fancy. But it sure looks pretty!
It does indeed!!! Mmmmm!!!!
Congratulations and Happy Blog Birthday!! A wonderful blog with delicious recipes!
Congratulations!!!
Happy 2nd Birthday!
I was giving blood (yeah I am up to 9 gallons) at the Red Cross about a year ago when my conversation with my nurse turned to cupcakes (funny how that can happen with a needle in your arm). She took my IPad out of my hand and showed me your website, I have been hooked ever since. I have enjoyed a bit of sunshine with every email you send. Thanks for sharing your gifts with so many.
Rae

Congrats Lizzy!! 🙂 I only recently discovered your blog and am so happy I did. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful recipes. My family loves all the cupcakes that I’ve made so far… so much so that I’m even in charge of baking 100 cupcakes for my cousin’s baby shower. lol You even inspired me to come up with my own cupcake recipes! Congrats again and best wishes for a wonderful year 3!! 😉
Your Cup of Cake has the same birthday as me!! How neat!

My husband asked me to make 350 cupcakes for church (he’s a pastor) and with the confidence I had in your recipes I said SURE!! I’m so excited about your site that I share it with everybody. Thank you, Happy Birthday and Congratulations on that degree that is right around the corner!
Happy 2nd Birthday! I’m so glad you do what you do, and I can’t wait to get your cookbook 🙂 it was essentially your blog that led me to explore deeper into baking, and find my own niche, so thank you so much! This weekend I’m doing a bake sale / fundraiser with my best friend who is starting a non- profit organization for infertility, and I’m going to be providing 300 cupcakes, which will be all your cupcake and frosting recipes! 🙂
Congratulations on this wonderful anniversary and your accomplishments! I am sooooo happy for you! I have thoroughly enjoyed your blog and this website. I made my first batch of cupcakes (Cinnamon Toast Crunch) for work from your site, and they were a huge hit at the office! It was for a birthday celebration at work. Additionally, you are very talented, and extremely creative…continue to bless others with your gift of baking, and you never know what other doors will open for you in the future. Just look now, you are getting ready publish a cookbook! That is amazing! Last but not least, congratulations on graduating from college! That is a great accomplishment in itself! Good luck to you in your future endeavors, and bake on! 🙂
