The Story:
Happy New Year everyone! It has been a wonderful year for me and this blog. My Andes Mint Cupcake has dominated as the favorite in views and I have new cupcake ideas taking over my calendar. But I do have a few goals for the year.
Face Lift: This is coming quite soon. This entire site is going to have a much better look and it will be easier to navigate. I can’t wait! Plus, my new social icons are incredibly cute!
Conquer Cake Pops: They really scare me, because I think I will fail. But I guess if I never try, I will never know.
10 Cereal Cupcakes: My Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cupcakes were such a hit, so I want to do an entire line of cereal inspired cupcakes.
Beautiful Muffins:I always see the gorgeous muffins in the bakery, and I want to pull some of those out of my oven! Big beautiful muffin tops, bursting from the liners…mmmm….
What are your goals?
i love all your ideas and cupcakes they are amaziiiinnnnngggg!!!!! you should make a vanilla and chocolate base rather than use cake mix.
I love your cupcakes! When you said face lift I thought it was a personal resolution. I thought, "She's gorgeous! What does she need a facelift for?"
My goal is to get a little more followers on my blog! Ans a little more followers on instagram!
You never gave me the cupcake you owe me! My goal is to eat one that you make for me. 🙂
i can't wait for your muffin recipes because mine never have those gorgeous puffy tops!
Happy New Year 2012 to you 🙂
Happy New Year! By the way, I'm super excited to hear about the cereal cupcakes. I love creative cupcake recipes! I'm looking forward to it. 🙂
Muffins are too "healthy" for my taste, I need the gorgeus fluffy icing on top of my cupcakes so I can be FATTY…I mean HAPPY!!! I want to work and master my frosting application, I want it to be as TALL, FLUFFY and FLAVORFULL as possible!!!!! I also want to create more innovative combinations and nice and "chic" decorations for my cupcakes and how about a line of cupcakes for diabetics??? ….Fatima
Ooooopsss… almost forgot. I want to make ALL your recipes for cupcakes at leat twice each, one by following your recipe and the second to make my version of your recipe. Happy New Year Lizzy, be bless and have a happy baking time this 2012!!!!…Fatima
I am a cupcake/cake pop maker myself & do not be scared of those pops lady! they are time consuming & take patience, but I know you will power through. a small tip, I'm sure you already know, but dip the sticks in chocolate or a "holder" so the actual cakepop will not slid down the stick. I made Easter cakepops for a party & found out the hard way. Happy New Year to you & I really enjoy your blog! Best Wishes & Yummy Cakes for 2012!
Muffin and cereal sounds great!! My father is a cereal person. Become better at baking is definitely one of my resolutions in 2012.
Your Cinnamon Toast Crunch cupcakes are on my list of things to bake! I have been toying with the idea of coming up with a Fruit Loops cupcake. It's my two-year-old's favorite cereal – she calls it "Cheerios with all of the beautiful colors." I don't think a cupcake that boasts that fruity, sugary goodness could disappoint!
A Fruit Loop Cupcake is on my list! I have a very fun plan for that one 🙂
Sounds great! Any chance you want to attack cake pops sooner rather than later?? I have been wanting to attempt them for a while…I want to make them for my son's b-day next week….
Sorry Kim! I probably won't get around to it for a little while. I have posts done for the next two weeks and I just started a new semester, so things are really crazy right now. Good luck!
Can't wait for those Fruit Loops cupcakes! I love Fruit Loops and I'm not 2! I think a cupcake using them would be great for adults and kids! Oops, my secrets out of the bag! Happy New Year Lizzy!
I am new to your blog but LOVE IT already! I can't wait to see your other cereal inspired cupcakes! I'm actually making your Cinnamon Toast Crunch ones tonight for a friend's birthday!
Lizzy u shouldn't be afraid of cake pops. They are a bit time consuming but fun 2 make. I would suggest u read up on them b4 u try. Don't do like I did! Try to take them head on with little 2 no research. Making them the second time around was more fun than the first. 🙂 I've even made them in the shape of cupcakes. Researching different decorating techniques will save u time your first time around. Happy cake pop making! I can't wait to see your pictures. Oh my goal is to make Mz. Cosby'z Treatz known beyond my family and friends. Happy New Year!
I tried your Cinnamon Toast Crunch cupcakes and they turned out amazing!! Everyone loved them in my Computer Class (im only sixteen so yes im in school lol) I'm so exited for you to come out with more cereal cupcakes! Maybe a fruit loop cupcake? or honey nut cheerios? Goodluck!

Don't worry at all about the cake pops – if I can do it, you can do it. I agree with the other commenters that its a good idea to read up on it first. There are some good videos on the bakerella site.
