A fun trick to this slow cooker recipe is how I cook the bacon and onions. I like to put my bacon and onions in the bottom of the slow cooker first so the two flavors can mix more and then give the whole dish more flavor (this is not displayed in the ingredients picture). Usually, when you make baked beans you would cook up the bacon separately first, but to get around that I put the bacon at the bottom of the pan! The direct heat is what it needs to render all the delicious flavor! You’re going to love these Slow Cooker BBQ Baked Beans!
