My husband is obsessed with all things buffalo. He inspired my Buffalo Pasta Salad that has been pinned over 50K times this summer! It’s been the hit of every party we’ve brought it to. But since the temps are cooling down we needed another way to get our buffalo fix. I made this Buffalo Chex Mix for my husband and he FLIPPED! I was supposed to give most of the batch away after I took the photos but he wouldn’t let me!! “It’s too good” he said.

This Buffalo Chex Mix recipe really is my favorite of all time. It’s got a kick from the buffalo sauce but since I added a little brown sugar it balances it out so it’s not too spicy. There’s just so many incredible spices going on in this recipe, it can’t be beat!!
Tips for The Best Chex Mix
I love using a large roasting pan for all my Chex Mix recipes. The tall sides make it easy to stir while baking. It is also larger than a cookie sheet so everything gets baked more evenly because it can be a little more spread out.
Use whatever mix-ins you want for your Buffalo Chex Mix! You can swap out the cheez-its for gold fish or even leave them out. Just swap in extra Chex cereal for any ingredients you leave out so that the sauce to mix-in ratio stays the same!

Tangy Buffalo Chex Mix
This Buffalo Chex Mix will be your new favorite snack! It's spicy and sweet and every bite is exploding with flavor!
- 1/2 cup Buffalo sauce we like Frank’s Red Hot Wings
- 1/2 cup butter melted
- 3 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce
- 2 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 2 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. brown sugar optional but amazing
- 6 cups Chex I like to use rice, wheat and corn
- 1 cup mixed nuts
- 1 1/2 cup Cheez-Its or gold fish
- 2 cups pretzels
Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
Combine buffalo sauce, melted butter, worcestershire, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt and brown sugar.
Pour over Chex Mix ingredients and stir until well coated.
Dump onto a cookie sheet or roasting pan and spread out evenly. Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Stir about every 20 minutes to keep from burning. The mix will seem very soggy for a while, but it will get cooked in!
Let cool and serve!
